The President

There are 100 senators, two from each state. They must be 30 years old, have been citizens for at least nine years, and live in the states they represent.
House members are elected to two-year terms with all 435 positions chosen every even year in elections held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. There are 100 representatives. House members must be 25 years old, have been citizens for at least seven years, and live in the state they represent.
The Constitution
The Constitution is the supreme law of the land. It establishes the three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. Each branch is responsible for checks and balances on the power of the other two branches.
